In Arkansas, a monument engraved with the Ten Commandments was smashed to smithereens by a protester in a Dodge Dart. As someone in the middle, I certainly know one thing. The past exists to teach us and prevent us from repeating it. When I was in high school/college, I learned all about slavery, not just in the USA, but all over the world as well, anyone who erases the past is going to repeat it over and over. Its not a left or right issue, it an human issue that teaches us what we did that was good or bad. Trying to erase or manipulate it was one of the tactics Mao Zedong used when the communists took over China, and they still do that today. Just because the past doesn’t fit anyone’s narrative, it is childish and ignorant to change it. It then becomes a lie.

Says the political party that wants to cherry pick what should and what shouldn’t be taught in schools. Talk about sweeping history under the rug, “I don’t want my kids being taught about slavery because they are too sensitive for that subject.”

Leftists are always quite dishonest. Being againt CRT isn’t against teaching about slavery, in fact, I welcome it, let’s teach everyone about how BLACK AFRICANS WERE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR SLAVERY AND SOLD OTHER BLACKS AS SLAVES.
CRT shouldn’t be taught because it teaches a bias against white people and that whites are inherently/unconsciously racist by nature. It’s also dishonestly taught that only whites can be racist because only the people in power can be racist. This is dishonest because racism doesn’t, and never has had anything to do with power; it has never had anything to do with that before and they simply attempted to dishonestly redefine it for their benefit. Racism is a prejudice against or belief in superiority over another race - Black people can also be racist. CRT and these teaching by these race-baiters/race-hustlers have nothing to do with American History, and is racist.
