  Sounds more like the usual pejoratives, hate-mongering and fear peddling that liberals have spewed and hide behind for 50 years towards anybody who disagrees with them or gets in their way. Becasue liberalism CANT has NEVER been able to stand on its own merits or accomplishments.

  This one isn’t too bad, if you like backroom, political shenanigans (like I do). Woodward does bolster the rumours with his gravitas. The title is scary and that blood red cover is absolutely terrifying (if only the publisher could have gotten a picture of Trump holding the knife/bludgeon!). But, as with all these exposés, it’s hard to breach the gossip barrier.

For those that want this to be a work of fiction, the journalistic integrity of Bob Woodward has already been proven across 40 years of recorded and fact-checked interviews.   As the uploader, I want to extend thanks to those who thanked me. I do not even live in the United States, and actually spent a couple of hours chapterizing this book because I really dislike unchapterized audio books. I think it’s entirely appropriate to have a chapterized version of the book on a website such as this. That is all.

  Five stars to you, francesoc - thank you for your efforts and for taking the time.
  Woodward is a proper journalist of the old school. We rely on a huge amount of our Roman history from great Classical writers and historians like Suetonius and Tacitus. However, their books were full of political gossip and palace intrigue. That’s the kind of murky muck that Woodward has to wade through as well - even with the best tape recorder in the business (”this is off the record, Bob”).

  Bitchy background banter is our news now, some of us wish it were otherwise. Hearsay strenuously denied by the beleaguered participants.
  it’s striking how the media, journalistic exposes, books by formerly respected and highly-regarded authors - all of these have lost so much of their power. It’s all just part of the noise now. Eclipsed by the net, I suppose. There’s no “make or break” power-broker, it would seem. We gave them power, and then we just stopped listening.

  In a recent interview with Hugh Hewitt, Bob Woodward said that in his two years of investigating for his new book, ‘Fear,’ he found no evidence of collusion or espionage between Trump and Russia. Woodward said he looked for it ‘hard’ and yet turned up nothing!

  @Caesar: absence of evidence… Anyway, Woodward is documenting what happened AFTER the election. Even Trump’s chuckleheads would know not to talk about Russia to Woodward (except maybe Papadopoulos).

That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer.   No argument on all those other charges, Gweilo, they’re there for all to see. Political types always tend to be dirty, and where you have opportunities then you’ll find greedy opportunists.
  But if someone of Woodward’s calibre manfully endeavoured to discover a smoking gun (or a bloody glove!) and genuinely couldn’t find one, perhaps it is a false trail (if the facts change, then opinions can change). He seems to have enjoyed extensive access to talkative personages. Anyway, the Russians enjoy the status all of this speculation gives them - that they are major players once again, triumphant and fearsome kingmakers.
  The “system” still does not know how to deal with Trump.
  (I never go on about Clinton’s emails, frankly don’t see the point of it. Although, I do despise the Clintons with a passion - I think that’s a fairly rational reaction!)
