Sometimes wry, often vulnerable, and always prescient, Just Us is Rankine’s most intimate work, less interested in being right than in being true, being together.

I heard a guy in his 30’s say, the reason he got interested in white politics is because when he went to school “white men were blamed for everything and got credit for nothing”.
The sort of conversation she wants to have of course is a monologue. If white people were allowed to address the short comings of BIPOCs and express (gulp!) “pride” in what their fore bearers left behind she wouldn’t be able to grasp it. She’s never seen it in the media or academia.

Well, it’s useful to remember that the Nat Socialists did not receive an overall majority. And as to reasons, when the economy improved, their vote declined. Extremes of l/r only thrive during times of economic crisis.
