Angela Harrelson grew up poor, one of thirteen brothers and sisters raised in a shack in the North Carolina woods. She was first in her family to go to college, first to be commissioned in the military, and first to have a career as a professional nurse. Along the way, she and her family were exposed to the harshest forms of racism—from her childhood riding the school bus with white children who made the Black kids stand, to racist commanding officers in the Air Force who told her they wanted her to fail.
Nothing stopped Angela, and nothing removed the hope in her heart that America could learn to stop hating people based on the color of their skin. This is the story of George Floyd’s aunt, Angela Harrelson, and how, after being suddenly thrust into the spotlight, she went on a quest to make sure her nephew did not die in vain.
Lift Your Voice is a memoir of faith, hope, and bravery, of what we all—Black and white—need to do to eradicate racism from our society. It’s a story of tragic loss and a worldwide uprising to ensure Perry’s death ushers society into a time where people are no longer judged, hated, or killed because of the color of their skin.

I’m amazed how Americans lack tolerance, I have no intention of listening to this book, as I am sure the people who commented. But from what I can see in the books outline, it looks to be more of the story of the Aunt and anyone who thinks it is alright to kneel on a mans neck until he is dead, no matter who he is or what he is done (and not even because of what he has done, but because he had black skin) well those people are the racist ones who need to take a good long look at themselves

George somehow failed to learn a very important lesson in the hood. When you F**k up and the police come for you it’s “Comply or Die”, your choice.
George made his choice even though his girlfriend stood there begging him to just get in the car! Don’t see how anyone could argue the world is worse off without him.

Floyd was a career criminal who, on one occasion, held a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly and threatened to kill her and her child if she didn’t give him money and drugs. He and others pistol whipped a woman in her home. The list goes on and on.
The trial of Derek Chauvin was a circus. A fair trail has not been given as yet. Appeals are in place. If he’s found guilty in a Court untainted with one sided, unrelenting press coverage, jurors are found that are not in fear for their lives if they vote not guilty, and a Court to instruct the jury not to consider the 27 Million dollar settlement, before the first trial jury selection was complete, then maybe Chauvin can get a fair trial and be found guilty. Until then, Justice has not been served.

No…the protests were because caucasian kids wanted an excuse to visit black areas to destroy property and steal. In EVERY situation, things were fine protests were peaceful, and there was praying…until white guys started busting windows, setting fires and attacking cops.
