Hey, jo - I had assumed it was Haiti, but I could be wrong (again!).
We shouldn’t regard Spartacus or Nat Turner as “successful” merely due to the great Kubrick film & superb Styron book (depends how we define success, I suppose).

Thanks for the introduction. History is one of my favorite interests, I just have trouble finding well researched authors who try to honestly lay it all out so the student can come to a well informed conclusion. I’ll give Trouillot’s a listen, but I’ll use Hoopla for this title.
