Ha ha ha! America’s history is a history of moral failure. I wish it wasn’t so defensive about this. We can all make a better world tomorrow but in the meantime America you have to admit your racism and thirst for violence.

I’m always in favour of sharing:- the problem with audiobook listening is that there is no straightforward way to try before you buy. So thanks, AndyBook for the upload.

The author has omitted another very importnt ideological stance: “Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”. Caucasians are on the way out, and with them their ideologies of American-style capitalism and European social democracy. 50 years from now there will be just Communist China and the Islamic ‘ummah’.

Great stuff, Andy. Prager can be quite incisive. There are definitional issues as ever, but Europe isn’t actually socialist. We pay for social programmes by taxing successful capitalist enterprise. Tax too much & you get stagnation, contraction & capital flight. So, it’s a balance - no toxic ideology, merely economic pragmatism. The “whatever works” ethic. Moral purpose? We’re far too materialistic for that kind of abstract contemplation!
Anyway, have you ever encountered a socialist who wasn’t obsessed with filthy lucre? They’re as rare as teeth in a communist “detention” centre. But, I digress somewhat. I don’t understand the extreme, emotional antipathy towards America. The people who hate so readily & mindlessly seem to be wholly ignorant of the fact that there are so many reprehensible dystopias (scores of them around the world) far more deserving of constructive opprobrium.
There is also a fatal flaw which subverts the hysterical attacks: if America (& the West, generally) are so unbearably, intolerably awful, how come so many people wish to relocate there? It manifestly does not follow. Is there a better system than the fundamental rights-based, rule of law paradigm? Self-evidently not. It took a long time, a great deal of sacrifice & effort, to build a true, functioning civilisation. Disdained by people who are free to do so. But not by those who are capable of understanding it.

Subjectively speaking I believe this book has been uploaded into the wrong category.
It would have been better in (a)Humour, (b)Horror or (c)Fantasy. (this is ME supporting the community!!
