Since the 1930s the Congress has delegated legislative, executive, and judicial powers to over 200 independent regulatory commissions. Those agencies enact over 90 percent of all federal law. They are ruled by individuals who are unelected and largely unaccountable to the Courts and Congress. Repeatedly they pursue their own self-interest at the expense of life and health. Often the agencies become captives of the industry they regulate, as in the case of the FDA (captive to the pharmaceutical industry) because it is in the economic self interest of those who run the agency to obtain lucrative post government employment form the key industries regulated. The result is widespread corruption, biased and perverse enforcement of the law, and anti-competitive regulation.

Is there a chapter on the illegitimately elected child sniffer who believed he had the authority to demand that every man and woman inject themselves with an experimental drug?

Thank you

I dunno, delegated legislation is a legitimate convention within the democratic tradition. It has crucial oversight & requires that procedural monitoring, but in the normal course of events it’s nothing to be scared of, as Adam Ant observed.

So all those Federal agencies on the cover, roping in tyranny and barely holding it in check - are BAD?
What is the author trying to say?
He wants tyranny?
I am so confused here…
Only way such conflicting yet concurrent arguments make sense is if the AUTHOR and the text actually have NO SENSE.
If it is non-sense, if you will.

Welcome to Bidenville…

If I have to choose, I’d still go with Bidonville over Trumpvile …
(yep, just the one ‘l’ for Trump)

More right wing drivel.

Looks interesting. I watched Dopesick a while back, and if half of what they suggested about large pharma companies is true, it’s beyond scary.
