The Future of Palestine: How Discrimination Hinders Change was inspired by the shocking “honor killing” of the author’s classmate and friend, Israa Ghrayeb. Her alleged crime? The simple act of going out, in broad daylight, with her fiancé and his sister-an act Ghrayeb’s cousin maintained was unacceptable in a conservative society. While Ghrayeb’s killers may be free, their manner of thinking is anything but.
In The Future of Palestine, author Tamar Haddad seeks to open minds to diverse perspectives and to give voice to those who are commonly marginalized in conservative Palestinian society.
In a world where prejudice is all too familiar, The Future of Palestine suggests that change can occur through:
Sharing stories of marginalized Palestinians
Providing non-Palestinians with a background about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict
This book is for those who reject discrimination against the marginalized and wish to make a difference. Coming together and discussing Palestinian history, identity, trauma, the notion of religion, women, race, sexual orientation, and class should change us all for the better.

Great upload, many thanks!
Could you please see if you can share this book (The Road to Fatima Gate: The Beirut Spring, the Rise of Hezbollah, and the Iranian War against Israel by Michael J. Totten)?
Thanks in advance!

Palestinians have the complete right to liberate their country and kick out every colonizer got into their country through the colonial occupying british ships
April 12th, 2022
Palestine. Just what the world needs: another nation with no rights for women or Gays.
April 12th, 2022
Thank you

All reasonable people hope for peace (& an end to backward persecution of minorities) in the entire region; both in the ancient Jewish homeland & amongst their neighbours. Leave genocidal caliphates & the braindead, incoherent Jew-haters in the sleazy dustbin of hx.
April 12th, 2022
Let’s not confuse Jew Hating, and the belief that the creation of the State of Israel was just another act of European colonialism.
There can be no chosen people without atrocities.
April 12th, 2022
Yeah, it does tend to be incoherent, on the hole. A people who have indeed always endured atrocities & invasions, sans a dubio.
April 12th, 2022
The most dangerous person is, a goodwill ignorant.
Learn the History, before supporting the “underdog”.
As A Smart lady said, “peace will come when Palestinian’ Mothers will love their kids more than they hate the Jews”.
And “The Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity for peace”
April 12th, 2022
@me137
There is No Peace without Justice
April 12th, 2022
…says the peacenik who can’t wait for another Holocaust for “payback” & “karma” - during which the peacenik will “feel no pity.” Yeah, genocidal justice. Beam us up.

Extra parking for Israel?

@caesar963
Says The Zio Boy! Who justifies The palestinian holocausts and the ethnic cleansing and colonization which is still happening
jews Can live their Torah Mythology in their fashioned books not on Land of others.
Simple And True.
April 13th, 2022
Erm, they got the cover wrong. It is the map of Israel, not Palestine.
April 13th, 2022
Simply & truly barbaric. Colonisation & invasion of Palaestina Prima, in 637? That’s been lifted now, as we know. Make peace with the Jewish homeland, a font of civilisation. Dreaming of Holocaust is evil & pathetic.
April 13th, 2022
@caesar963
Lol You can’t change history Jesus spoke Aramaic
Simply & truly true.
April 13th, 2022
…& lived in the ancient Jewish homeland. You can’t change history. Simply & truly ahistorical & incoherent. Stop hoping for another sleazy Holocaust, & concentrate instead on the appalling problems of internal persecution detailed in the book. One example: why is homosexuality so horrifically persecuted?
April 14th, 2022
Nope in Canaan Homeland which has nothing to do with the mesopotamian migrants whom, called the jews.
I can answer your questions once you tell me why the palestinians must be persecuted in their own land?
April 14th, 2022
Yeah, the ancient Jewish homeland for 4000 yrs, so yes indeed, they’ve got “dibs” true enough. “Nothing to do with the Jewish peop” - oy. Read a book.
The burden is still upon you to establish a prior claim to Judea/Israel by comparatively recently arrived Arab Muslims(!) Expediently & clumsily trying to co-opt “Canaanites” for this purpose (based on bizarre internet skullershippe) remains a transparent absurdity.
By your “logic” all of Asia Minor, N Africa, Syria (entire Levant), Mesopot, Persia, etc. ought to be “given back” - as these were all occupied a bit more recently than 4000 yrs ago. Actually bloodily conquered & “put to the sword.” Yours is just such a ludicrous contention.
Arafat’s Nazi Uncle, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini (assisted in recruitment of Muslim soldiers for the SS - the “Hanjar (Saber) Division” of Waffen SS) admitted that Jewish people had purchased land from the Arabs, when speaking at the Peel Commission on Jan 12, 1937. Like you, he wanted to murder an entire race of people. However, given his admission, your position is even more extreme than that of the fascist Mufti.
No, of course you won’t answer any questions - because you can’t. You’ve plenty of bigotry & sleazy hatred for the Jews & don’t want peace for suffering people, but where is your condemnation of horrific Hamas terrorism (& all the other sleazy terror groups)? For the appalling nature of all the other countries & regimes in the region? Where is the due acknowledgement of Israel’s myriad successes? Where are the other successes in the region? Where was the success of the territory, prior to Israeli independence? Why did it take the establishment of the independent state to create that unprecedented success?
Be honest now, without resort to more deluded fantasy & hysterical bigotry, why do you think that is? Difficult questions & facts to finally have to confront. If you had the courage to do so.
Remember, Arab citizens of Israel identify themselves as Israeli, Palestinian or Arab.
You really need to listen to this book - you did give it 5 stars, of course.
April 15th, 2022
“Yeah, the ancient Jewish homeland for 4000″ ??? you gotta read my torah God Promised me in it America to me, I gotta go there and Kill all the canaanites in there because I’m special and chosen from god and when these cannaits gonna fight back I’m gonna cry some good sweet crocodile tears… it’s not my fault it’s their fault how dare you Fight to liberate your country. We are the strong People that the west sponsors with trillions of dollars and the most technologically advanced killing machines how dare these weak species fight our occupation over their country.
Muslims Islamized the region they didn’t replace the people so you think the arabic harsh burning desert of Arabia which barely have any water had 400.0000 people in it who were hiding under the sand and suddenly filled the whole region from china to spain? in few years and then the natives gone with the wind once the Muslims arrived? it’s you who
needs a Book! not me.
So What! Poland the crying victim of hitler it self was an allie of hitler before they became enemies the same is soviet Russia and then finland was Germany Allies, germany was fighting the british empire which was occupying Palestine while creating a Zionists entity in it. its normal the palestinians they wanted a strong allies to defends their country from the colonial zionist project sponsored by another occupying power called the british freaking empire on their freaking land? so what would you expect the native people reaction to that? its obvious.
hamas is freedom movement trying to liberate their stolen country with their dignity. they are freedom brave fighter who have the complete right to fight and terrorise every occupier on their country just how ukrainians are fighting the Russian fascists of putler right now.
or you think they just love to die for sake of dying?
Success in what? in Geniced? Ethnic Cleansing?in building walls? in creating disorder in the middle east? in sponsoring dictatorships over the region? in Apartheid? in stealing cities and villages from the natives? or through lobbies around the world? what success in having having a party in an occupied land? the immorality is unbelievable and so over successful. they should instead of reading the mythological torah they better read the crusades pages of history their end is their end.
The arab citizens of notIsrael they were already there before every each one of them and they don’t call themselves Isrehelies but Palestinians
Go read the news.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blhTyBDJRsY
3 millions palestinians of the coast are not allowed back to their cities on the coast. and you tell they bought it? so palestinians sold it so they can become homeless refugees right?
April 15th, 2022
“Poland the crying victim of hitler it self was an allie of hitler before they became enemies” - What in hell are you talking about? Is this another of your phacts? Poland was an ally of Hitler? And you’ve “discovered” this historically illiterate, scholarly gem where, on one of your neo-nazi news networks?
“Muslims Islamized the region” - I already explained that to you. Inter alia, the region was not originally Arab, its Arabisation was a consequence of Arab invasion & conquest; the rapidly expanding Islamic Caliphates established by Arabian tribes. Population change over time. Scholars suggest that the process of mass Islamisation took place much later, perhaps during the Mamluk period (13th-16th centuries).
For several centuries during the Ottoman period the population in Palestine declined & fluctuated between 150,000 & 250,000 inhabitants, & it was only in the 19th c that a rapid population growth began to occur. Over this period, Jewish entrepreneurs provided increased employment, making the territory a newly attractive destination for Arab migrants, coming from economically depressed regions.
“its normal the palestinians they wanted a strong allies(!)” - So u admire the nazis - because they’re strong? Wtf?! Ponder this: Arafat’s Nazi Uncle, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, combined Nazi propaganda & Arab Nationalism, & was wanted for war crimes in Yugoslavia. He had assisted in the recruitment of Muslim soldiers for the SS (the “Hanjar (Saber) Division” of the Waffen SS).
His mix of militant Islam & nazism was an inspiration for both Arafat & Saddam Hussein, whose uncle was a leader in the Mufti’s pro-Nazi coup in Iraq in May 1941.
After the Six-Day War in 1967, many Muslim prisoners were found in possession of small paperback editions of Mein Kampf, it had been trans into Arabic as “My Jihad” curiously enough.
And to all of this “noble” tradition, you eloquently respond: “So What!” What a modern Martin Luther King you are. Lecture us more abt “morality & justice” why don’t you?
“hamas is freedom movement…with their dignity. they are freedom brave fighter who have the complete right…terrorise.” That’s what’s here, folks. Insane.
“you think they just love to die for sake of dying?” - No, I think think they like to murder others & use young Palestinians as indoctrinated cannon fodder & human bombs; and Palestinian children as human shields. And persecute gays.
The same “freedom brave fighters” as you perceptively define them.
Also, the nazis are “strong” while the Russians are just fascists? You might have to lie down for a while. Dementedly incoherent - it’s not even funny.
“So What! Poland the crying victim of hitler” - You said before that you “don’t care” about genocide, but it seems you’re positively aroused by it here. To talk about millions of victims in this way is truly sleazy stuff.
“creating disorder in the middle east!” - Yeah, that’s all the hated Jeeeewz! of course. No one else. “dictatorships over the region” - again, you need no help w that 1. “Geniced? Ethnic Cleansing?” - Ditto these.
“their end is their end” - Like 1948/9? 1967? 1973? Looks like you’re going to need more “strong nazi” assistance. And a bigger fascist boat.
“immorality” - the eejit who’s gasping for more genocide, blood & murder is preaching abt immorality? Sick.
“The arab citizens of Israel and they don’t call themselves Isreelis but Palestinians” - More falsehood. A lot more complicated, as you can no doubt see: “Terms preferred by most Arab citizens to identify themselves include Palestinians, Palestinians in Israel, Israeli Palestinians, Palest Arab citizens of Israel or Palest citizens of Israel. There are, however, individuals from among the Arab citizenry who reject the term Palestinian altogether. A minority of Israel’s Arab citizens include “Israeli” in some way in their self-identifying label; the majority identify as Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship.
The term Israeli Arabs in particular is used by a significant minority of the Arab population.
2001 survey: 37% of respondents identified themselves in some way as “Israeli”, double-counting the “Israeli Palestinian” category as both “Israeli” & “Palestinian”. Although much smaller than the % identifying themselves as Palest a nevertheless considerable number include “Israeli” as part of their identity.” ***
Yeah, do go & read the news.
“they were already there before every each one of them” - Uh, u do know how the circle of life works, don’t you? Or is it just death you’re interested in?
“you tell they bought it?” - Not me. Arafat’s Nazi Uncle again, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem told it. Yet another inconvenient truth. He admitted, at the Peel Comm on Jan 12, 1937, that Jewish people had purchased their land from the Arabs. Just like you, he loved genocide; however, given his admission, you’re even more extreme than the fascist Mufti.
You’re constantly relying on the Canaanites, like a drunk leaning on a lamppost. However, “a scientific report reveals that the genetic heritage of the Canaanites survives in many modern-day Jews & Arabs.” Ergo, commonality.
“Historians also have noted that many Canaanite names derive from Hurrian, a non-Semitic language originating in the Caucasus.”
“Archaeological evidence doesn’t show widespread destruction of Canaanite populations. Instead, they appear to have been gradually overpowered by later invaders such as the Philistines, Greeks, and Romans.”

In addition to this, many people migrated from the Arabian peninsula to Israel/Judea, millennia after the Israelites.
So, you thirst for more genocide & don’t feel any pity or humanity. You ought to learn from & emulate the Jewish people’s superlative dedication to scholarship & education, rather than wallowing in ignorant bigotry & bitter hatred. Live well instead. It makes all the difference in the world.

caesar963,
Stop posting Zionist bullsh1t. “israel” is a terrorist state.
April 16th, 2022
So, you also want a genocide, like the other character? Only the Jeeewz! can ever be at fault, eh? Same as it ever was…
May 30th, 2022
Caesar963, but you’re the Zioist gutter rat who supports genocide, ethnic cleansing and terrorism against Palestinians, and you project your pathetic lies onto others. Pasting long endless streams of “israeli” bullsh1t isnt going to get you anymore.
What has been done to my “ancestors” is not admissible in a current court of law. It is not recognized in local, regional, national, or international jurisprudence. However, the current atrocities committed by Zionists, under international law and the conventions is valid.
If I were taken into court because I had shot an Italian man, my defense could not be how they were instrumental for the diaspora of my people close to 2,000 years ago. Just like an indigenous person in the United States cannot claim the property that Wall Street resides on, and be taken seriously in a court of law. However, if it happened 50 years ago, and he had both the deed and the proper legal documentation, than the thief would be thrown out. If you do not get my point, think about it a while, maybe reason will overcome you sooner or later (unless you are an ideological imbecile and/or disengenuous a55hole).
It’s 2022, not 5000 BC, Palestine is for the Palestinians, stop living in the past, ZioNazi.
June 3rd, 2022
It ain’t 1933 either, even for such ideological imbeciles who wish it was.
Well, that long stream of Jew-hating bull was certainly not the fastest response ever. With a 6 wk delay, one would expect some intelligent insight.
Again, why continue to support any murders? Why not condemn all of it? Of course, you’ll always have your “reasons” for hating, & cheerleading murder. But what good does it do? Israel is a present reality. What era are you trying to live in? You imagine that the Jewish people have no connection to their ancient homeland? That they have not had a continuous presence there - in spite of incessant attacks & massacres of Jewish human beings? But that would be historical fact, evaluated with reason, so not your thing…
As to legalities, don’t forget that Arafat’s uncle also a nazi) Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini (assisted in recruitment of Muslim soldiers for SS - the “Hanjar (Saber) Division”) admitted that Jewish people had purchased land from the Arabs, when speaking at the Peel Commission on Jan 12, 1937. Like you, he wanted to murder Jews. However, given his admission, your position is even more extreme than that of the fascist Mufti.

Settler colonialism is still colonialism. Since when has that actually worked? the ignorant will cite the US, but we all know how that wound up for the natives. The Palestinians do themselves no favors, but hat doesn’t negate the sheer volume of UN Human Rights Council resolutions and UN Security Council resolutions Israel has clearly been guilty of violating.
“As of 2013, the State of Israel had been condemned in 45 resolutions by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Since the UNHRC’s creation in 2006, it has resolved almost more resolutions condemning Israel alone than on issues for the rest of the world combined. The 45 resolutions comprised almost half (45.9%) of all country-specific resolutions passed by the UNHRC, not counting those under Agenda Item 10 (countries requiring technical assistance).[1] From 1967 to 1989, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted 131 Security Council resolutions directly addressing the Arab–Israeli conflict.”
June 4th, 2022
Does the sui generis case of the Jews in Israel/Judea, with all of that ancient history & continuity, everything it entails, map directly on to the paradigm of colonialism? Are we really talking about people arriving out of the blue to the lands which became Canada, Australia, New Zealand, all of the Americas - from their own discrete nation states? Rather than Israel failing, is it not actually the only successful, democratic, prosperous country in the region? Compare it to all of its neighbours. On human rights: Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. etc.? Virtually all consistently topping the list of the worst abusers in the world. It’s not perfect, but nowhere has achieved that state. Nor will they. The fundamental rights of all people ought to be respected. As far as settling: the Arabs did not begin by living all across North Africa & the Middle East. The Jews & Arabs are all Semitic peoples; Jews & Palestinians genetically share a common Canaanite heritage.
As to things which work - international law, as a framework is not, and never has been, a coherent or functioning system. One might ask, when has the system of collective security (League of Nations; UN) ever truly, substantively worked? When do such frameworks not become the expedient instruments of Great Powers?
