Raspail is one of the few modern authors with the courage to examine how colonialism is endemic in Christianity (Robert Graves’ My Head My Head treats the same premise, though less admiringly).
You can object to the tenour of his novels, but really that is just shooting the messenger.

Very Good Linder is not always a good reader but the book is very good, Raspail has been vindicated since 2015 as all his words on paper was set to play out on our world stage. to have such foresight is a true gift that seems to be very rare into today’s men who call themselves politicians.

Whatever racist overtones that exist in the book seem dwarfed in comparison to the reader’s own. I haven’t listened to much but if there’s scandal here, the guy reading it is not helping.
