Do you wear a N95-type mask every time you come into contact with anyone? Do you also stand at the scrub sink for 5 full minutes, use an under-the-nail brush, and a very strong soap with a scrub brush on each finger, both sides of your hands, and scrub all the way up to your elbows, wear scrubs, a surgical gown with tie-back or bouffant-style cap to cover your hair, a face mask, latex gloves and clog-like rubber theatre shoes when you take a trip to the grocers?
Yes. We should pull out of Afghanistan. If 20 years of ‘helping them’ can be overturned within a few days, then the US wasn’t doing any good there. But…there are ways of doing things. You don’t pull out the military BEFORE getting the civilians out. Even a person like you should be able to figure that out. If this was happening to Trump, you would be all over him.
BTW…I DON’T wear a mask. Not vaccinated. Never had Covid. Cross state lines 3-4 times a day. Been to countless cities and towns. And if you ‘feel safer’ wearing a mask. Good for you. As any woman in the US knows, the whole ‘my body, my choice’ argument doesn’t work. You forget the only reason you are free is that, in times of calamity, Americans historically came together to fight the common foe. You don’t wear a mask, are not vaccinated, and believe you’re somehow impervious to the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant. You state you’ve never had COVID like it’s a fact. You sure don’t sound like an avid tester. I contend you’ve spread COVID to the ‘countless’ cities and towns (which, is literally impossible since every single map has a list of every place you visited) in your daily trips across state lines. My assumed fact is just as accurate as yours…except mine doesn’t emphasize a lack of grade school-level counting. Wearing a mask isn’t about feeling safer. It’s about doing your part to protect your community. I’m glad you emphasized masks REALLY WORK because they do. There is empirical evidence over the last year and a half to prove it. There is also a mountain of data saying not wearing masks does help spread the virus. It’s the ME mentality that caused the Delta flareup in the first place. The anti-mask, anti-vaxx crowd likes to throw out Nazi references and yellow stars in their asinine illogical arguments. How would you react if the government gave you coupon vouchers for what food staples like butter you were allowed to have under a mandated rationing? Would you claim ‘my stomach, my choice’? That’s what Americans did to combat the Nazis. With nearly half the US populated by people like you, we not only couldn’t win that war, we likely wouldn’t have been able to fight it.
