That’s the key. Anybody who isn’t down with your politics may be a sneaky fascist in one of their guises.
If someone tries defending someone accussed of fascism it means they might be a fascist too.
If someone doesn’t say anything fascist no matter how hard you try to take them out of context, but you’re sure they must be a fascist, surely they must be dog whistling.

I despise Trump, but he’s as much of a fascist as Obama was a gay Kenyan Muslim bent on enacting sharia law. In the same way the left mocked the right’s clueless overuse of “socialist” and “communist” in the Obama era, “fascist” too has a definition, and, since the alt-right died (even though it was often debatable even then) antifa has case to make that they’re “fighting fascism”.

It’s hilarious how the left has gone from “ACAB”, to that. Officer Sicknick wasn’t murdered on cold blood, he died because of an adverse reaction to some irritant - pepper spray, bear spray, mace, etc.
And while he capitol riots weren’t a good thing - less so than the burning cities over the summer - they weren’t a “act of fascism”. And when you call everything “fascism”, it loses its meaning. Just look at how much harder that label hit a few years ago…

Losing a fair election, the Big Lie, interference in state results, gathering a mob to disrupt congress, inciting insurrection, attack on the capitol to assassinate VP & others……sure looks like classic Fascism going by Weimar Germany’s example. Let it grow and you get the full Nazi experience. So it’s understandable how the rest of the world is ANTIFA. Fight the baddies. Maybe this book will help

One advantage of being European is that I/we have a greater understanding and have experienced ’socialism’, ‘(anti-)fascism’, amongst others. Never mind whether they themselves are good or bad but we know of what they really consist.
These terms are bandied around so very inaccurately on the other side of the Atlantic.
