The Clinton fanatics have drunk far too much of the cool-aid to ever question how someone as smart as the Clintons could ever step in so much s..t by accident without being dirty to begin with.
What I would find so amusing, if it weren’t so pathetically sad, is that they don’t even question the fact that Bill Clinton committed perjury about something as simple as having had sex with Monica Lewinski, but he & Hillary wouldn’t have lied during their testimony about committing fraud in the Whitewater investigations. Duh!!! Or how Hillary’s Rose Law firms billing records conveniently showed up in the White House residence after the Starr investigation was concluded. Just because her former partner Webster Hubbell was found guilty of fraud based on his billing records, but Hillary’s were conveniently missing.

@caesar963: there are those that think that you need to prove “allegations” of criminal acts with more than scare quotes. You are just using Trump’s “people are saying” style of smearing while trying to say you aren’t.
The only thing they ever proved was that Bill lied about his affair with Lewinsky.

Scare quotes? I’m at a loss to detect a scare or a quote! It’s like when the ubiquitous Trump makes a bogus accusation. There are people who love the Clintons and people who hate them; that, at least, is uncontroversial. There are people where I live (not the US) who regard Bill Clinton extremely highly, and with very good reason.
However, there were far more (multiple) serious claims regarding sexual assault and rape perpetrated by Clinton. As we know, unwitnessed rape is notoriously difficult to prove, so they didn’t go anywhere. This, in spite of the fact that Juanita Broaddrick, in particular, is an enormously compelling witness when relating her ordeal.
Americans, in their wisdom, chose to disregard what were termed minor sexual “peccadilloes” at the time. Of course, were the election to be held now, the outcome might be different. Back then, there was a galactic power imbalance between “Governor” Clinton and Juanita Broaddrick, et al. Now, people are perhaps more willing to give the victims a voice. Too little, too late, you might say, but there we are.

Scare quotes as : wholly without “Foundation”
And Bill’s sexual misdeeds aren’t what he was impeached for. And are nothing to do with the “Foundation”.
Whatever happened is a he-said/she-said a half century ago and can never be proved.
Anyway, you are too slippery to bother arguing with any more.

I’m slippery?! Wow. Self-awareness, where art thou? Every conceivable topic pivots to Trump; the eejit is shoehorned, parachuted, and teleported into all areas of the discursive landscape - at the level of desperation. Senseless segues abound. The old attempt at character assassination is a little slippery too, don’t forget; the last refuge of a chap with a full absence of coherent argument, surely?
(Neither “scary” - unless one is of abnormally skittish disposition; nor a “quote” to be seen, as a source must be quoted)
The point is character - at all levels of conduct: commission, omission - all. The entirety of behaviour, considered in the absolute, clearly goes to character.
He was impeached for perjuring himself (violating the empty formula of his oath of office) & obstruction of justice - in relation to? The complained of sexual misdeeds - original charges stemming from a sexual harassment lawsuit & from his testimony denying that he had engaged in a sexual relationship. Part of it turned on his “slippery” definition of “sexual relations” & the Aristotelian rhetorical interpretation of “is” & assorted, brain-melting crap. His own legal team called his actions “morally reprehensible” while in rare & temporary communication with their collective conscience.
Not sure what you were trying to achieve with that one. A somewhat…lubricious manoeuvre?
The rule on the crime of perjury, of course, is that when you’re a proven liar, your testimony, your word, cannot be trusted. All your assertions may be reasonably impugned. You may be called a liar sans recourse to remedial, trumped-up litigation.
Naturally, “he-said/she-said” is a gratuitous restatement of the perennial predicament confronting rape victims, particularly when they try to initiate proceedings against the rapist. Vanishingly (criminally) few rapists are ever brought to justice. They rely on this. The time factor (”a half century ago”) does not exculpate or improve the act. Hopefully the times are changing those kinds of regressive attitudes (slim chance).
Yeah - arguing for the sake of futile contention.

Pseudo? I’m really more of a quasi-philosopher. Fence-sitting can hazard the gonads - but it’s perfectly valid to disdain ‘em all equally. If you do choose a side, let that side be justice - which doesn’t include Clintons, Trumps, Epsteins, or their beloved parties. Time does not wash away the scumbag stain. Impeachment for perjury & obstruction of justice - in relation to what offences exactly? Not conveniently divisible & separable, of course. That’s like Clinton’s own sleazy logic-chopping.
Regardless how disgusting & evil the character, dingbats come out of every hole & crevice to defend them. The urge indicates an identical pathological mindset - across purported differences. As their conduct gets worse, the defence becomes more frenzied & febrile. A constant deluge of this gibbering guano.
These guys were best buds with the very Field Marshall of Paedophiles. Clinton regularly traveled on the Lolita Express to Paedophile Island, with or without Kevin Spacey(?) - leaving the conscientious, nosy security detail at home.
It comes from the same mindless place as the ‘Hitler loved dogs’ brigade; and the ‘Stalin had a great memory for compiling murder lists’ headbangers. No level of offence will faze them.
It has to be some form of celebrity worship, fawning over their latest discharge; or the time-honoured lunacy of obsequious power-worship. There is no “crime” for your social superiors; for they have been set in authority above you, and you will know your place. Dare to criticise these objects of worship, and you will be trolled to within an inch of death.
Another joker on here putting his cape on for the barbaric British Empire; the murder of countless victims was apparently the best thing that ever happened to them. It was manifestly churlish of them not to express fulsome thanks & praise.
