It is better for the world if what @northernrunner says is true. While there are many poster-children for bat-s**t crazy ideology in the U.S. Congress, Tom Cotton owns a special kind of delusion since he believes he is smarter than everyone else. Most of them don’t have that same hubris so when they spout their dumb crazy word-vomit and it, once again, turns out to not be true, they can play it off as being just that damn dumb. Not this guy. Tom Cotton will immediately tell you he is the smartest one in the room and proceed to tell you exactly why it is in your best interest to let him think for you. Just the Democrat “disasters” he lists are enough to tell you he’s not firing on all cylinders. Is he implying that Eisenhower or Nixon would have gone along with the CIA clusterf**k just because they were Republicans? And what would have been Bush Sr. or Bush Jr.’s exemplary reaction to Mogadishu? Maybe Clinton or Obama would have invaded Iraq…or would they have been too soft? And Afghanistan? Really?! I’m sure to his little Benghazi mind, the withdrawal from Afghanistan was that first week peppered with pictures and video of all those abandoned Afghanis he cared nothing about when, in reality, it was the largest and most successful airlift operation in the history of aviation. But sure. Let’s listen to how this LDE incel-spouting demagogue thinks we can get our power back.

I never knew there was such a thing as a ‘left’ in American politics. I always thought it went ‘Right, ‘Ultra Right’, ‘Absolutely crazy Right’ But never ‘left’. Still, I’ll give it a listen.

Americans, it seems, don’t understand what “the Left” or “socialism” is.

Cotton sees America only in terms of power over other countries, if not the entire world (much as most authoritarian rulers in the world’s history. To him, the “Leftists” (an endangered species, given that today’s Democrats more closely resemble “Rockefeller Republicans”) favor Democracy over power. To Cotton, Democratic governments are not dominating and threatening to the rest of the world as he would like to see. He follows in the footsteps of Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao, Castro, and a myriad of others who seek to dominate.
There are two kinds of people in the world, those who want to control others and those who don’t. Cotton is a control freak.

Sane people should be “triggered” by fascists and anarchists in the guise of republicans holding any office in the US government because they do t believe in governing, just wrecking the economy and the government functioning.
