When the Department of Homeland Security was founded in 2003, its stated purpose was “preventing terrorist attacks within the United States and reducing America’s vulnerability to terrorism.” The Bush administration’s definition of the enemy as a tactic, terrorism, rather than a specific movement, proved consequential amid a culture of political correctness. By the time President Obama took office, Muslim Brotherhood-linked leaders in the United States were forcing changes to national security policy and even being invited into the highest chambers of influence. A policy known as Countering Violent Extremism emerged, downplaying the threat of supremacist Islam as unrelated to the religion and just one among many violent ideological movements.
When recently retired DHS frontline officer and intelligence expert Philip Haney bravely tried to say something about the people and organizations that threatened the nation, his intelligence information was eliminated, and he was investigated by the very agency assigned to protect the country. These right wing nuts might say:
“do something to prevent a cunning, relentless enemy from carrying out its stated aim to “destroy Western Civilization from within.””
and then go to some absurd “birther” narrative about Obama, but they ignore Putin using Trump to do exactly that. Or Trump enabling the Saudis to murder reporters, Yemenis, etc, as long as they book rooms in his hotels and buy his houses at inflated prices.
@marco: really? China’s economy will be in the toilet after this. And that is as important to Xi as the Dow is to Trump. Tell me how China benefits from shutting down industry for months, not mention actual people dying. On second thought, keep it to yourself. Just believe what you want.

Law of Nations (1758 a legal treatise on International Law by Emerich de Vattel.
It is known that Benjamin Franklin had 3 copies, that George Washington had a copy and that it was a well known and read book by the Founders during the Constitutional Convention.
“Natural Born Citizen” is clearly defined in that book, there is no middle ground. A native, or natural born citizen, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. It clearly states both father and mother must be citizens. Obama is an illegitimate President and they knew it the whole time, they kept it from us. Does anyone think the SCOTUS were naive? That top ranking officials never heard of Law of Nations?

Obama’s father was Kenyan, that is not in the U.S.A.

You found a definition of “natural born” that fits your prejudices. Obviously, if it was valid, it would have been proven in court. Why didn’t some birther get him removed? Because the judges would have laughed at them.

By the way, Trump’s mother was born in Scotland. Was she a US citizen when Trump was born? Where is the proof?
Relax, if the Republicans get another Supreme, they can cancel all those pesky human rights amendments and voting rights so only pureblood Aryan males owning real estate are eligible to vote or take public office.

@Gweilo District Court cases, which are notorious for being extremely biased, is your justification. They use the 14th Amendment to try to overwrite Article II, Section 1 when natural born citizen and citizen have different definitions. The 14th makes former slaves citizens, not natural born citizens, there is a difference. Very lazy work on the part of corrupt judges.
Trump’s mother became a U.S. citizen 3 years before he was born.
